MPLS IP-VPN Private Network
One private network that safely links all your offices, branches and data centres.

An MPLS IP-VPN is a private, carrier-managed network that joins all your company sites (head office, branches, factory, cloud) into one secure "intranet" instead of running over the public internet. MPLS is the underlying technology that lets the carrier prioritise traffic (this is QoS, or Quality of Service) so important apps like video calls and ERP run smoothly. Every site can talk to every other site directly (any-to-any), without wiring each link by hand.
For SMEs with several branches, factories or multi-city offices, especially those that rely on internal systems, video or voice, and want guaranteed, consistent performance.

The honest pros and cons.
Benefits
- Private and secure: traffic stays off the public internet, so it is harder to intercept than ordinary connections.
- QoS guarantees: you can reserve bandwidth for video, voice and core systems so they hold up even at peak times.
- Any-to-any reach: every site connects directly to every other site, and adding a new branch is quick.
- Fully managed by the carrier: monitoring, repairs and configuration are handled for you, so you do not need an in-house network team.
- Backed by an SLA (service level agreement): the contract spells out uptime and repair times, so there is accountability.
Watch-outs
- Costs much more than ordinary broadband, and usually needs a 1 to 3 year contract.
- Longer lead time: site survey and circuit installation can take several weeks, not instant.
- Bandwidth is fixed by contract; scaling up or down means changing the agreement with the provider.
- For very small companies with only one or two sites it can be overkill; SD-WAN or a leased circuit may be better value.
Indicative only: from around HK$1,500/mo per site for entry bandwidth, rising with speed, number of sites and SLA tier; larger enterprises are quote-only.
