- An extra cost layer: on top of cloud fees, you pay monthly connection and port charges.
- Setup is technical and usually needs IT and cloud-side configuration, so it is not instant.
- Usually requires a presence or cross-connect at the carrier or data centre, so location matters.
- For small firms with light cloud use it may not be worth it; good business broadband can be enough.
